Senior-friendly Windows support

Not good with computers? No problem.

Tell us what you see on the screen. We will explain what is happening in plain English and guide you through the process one step at a time—patiently and without rushing.

Based in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Senior-friendly remote computer help is available throughout the United States. Limited on-site support may be available in Manheim and nearby Lancaster County communities.

Everyday computer help

Ask the question—even if you do not know the computer term.

You do not need to diagnose the problem before calling. You can say, “A box keeps appearing,” “My email stopped working,” or “The printer says offline.” We will ask simple questions and help determine what kind of support is appropriate.

The goal is not only to address the immediate problem, but also to help you understand what happened. You can watch the remote work and ask questions throughout the session.

Protect yourself

Do not trust a phone number just because it appears in a pop-up.

Unexpected warnings often try to frighten people into calling quickly. Close or step away from the message and contact someone using a website or number you already recognize. The Repair Nerds' published number is 717-535-6525.

Questions

Senior computer-help FAQ

What if I am not good with computers?

That is completely fine. Describe what you see on the screen, and we will guide you one step at a time using plain language without rushing.

How do I allow remote computer help?

After you contact us, you receive a support link and instructions. You approve the connection before the technician can see or control the computer, and you can watch the session.

Can a family member help coordinate the appointment?

A trusted family member or caregiver can help communicate and coordinate with the computer owner's knowledge and permission. The person using the computer must still approve the remote connection.

Do I have to choose a service before calling?

No. Tell us what is happening, and we will help identify the appropriate service and price before payment and repair work.

Do you work on Apple or Chromebook computers?

The Repair Nerds currently provides remote support for Windows PCs only.

You do not have to figure it out alone
