Remote Windows PC tune-up

A careful PC cleanup—without the shop visit.

If your Windows computer is slow, cluttered, or taking too long to start, The Repair Nerds can inspect and clean it remotely while explaining the work in plain English.

Based in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Remote tune-ups are available throughout the United States. Limited on-site support may be available in Manheim and nearby Lancaster County communities.

When a tune-up can help

Common signs your Windows PC needs attention.

A computer can become slower as unnecessary programs load at startup, temporary files accumulate, storage fills, browser settings change, and updates fall behind. A tune-up reviews these software-related causes systematically instead of installing a questionable “speed booster.”

This service is a good fit when the computer still starts and connects to the internet but feels slower, less stable, or more cluttered than it should. If the symptoms point to a virus or malware, we will explain that before moving to the $119.99 malware-removal service.

Slow startup

Windows takes too long to reach the desktop or too many programs open automatically.

Low storage

The drive is filling up, updates are failing, or temporary clutter needs review.

Freezing and delays

Programs hesitate, stop responding, or take longer than expected to open.

Update trouble

Windows or common software is behind, repeatedly failing, or asking for attention.

What the tune-up includes

  • Review unnecessary startup programs and background load
  • Remove appropriate temporary and system clutter
  • Check Windows health and common system warnings
  • Review security status and scan for suspicious findings
  • Check available storage and obvious space concerns
  • Review important Windows and software updates
  • Explain findings and practical next steps

Good to know

Software cleanup cannot repair failing hardware.

If testing suggests a failing storage drive, overheating, damaged memory, or another physical problem, we will explain what points to hardware trouble. We will not keep charging for remote cleanup that cannot solve a physical failure.

How it works

A clear process from diagnosis to cleanup.

STEP 01

Tell us the symptoms

Call, text, or email with what you are experiencing. We will confirm whether a tune-up is the right starting point.

Use the remote-support link we provide. You authorize the session and can see the work being performed.

STEP 03

Review the results

We complete the approved work, explain what was found, and discuss any next step before adding time or charges.

Questions

Computer tune-up FAQ

Will a tune-up delete my personal files?

The service focuses on Windows health, unnecessary startup items, temporary clutter, updates, storage, and performance. Personal files are not intentionally removed, and any action affecting personal data is discussed with you first.

Can every slow computer be fixed remotely?

Many software-related slowdowns can be improved remotely. A failing drive, insufficient memory, overheating, or another hardware problem may require in-person repair or replacement. We explain what we find before recommending next steps.

What if the scan finds a virus or malware?

We will explain the finding and discuss changing to the Tune-Up + Malware service before performing malware-removal work or changing the price.

What happens if more than 90 minutes is needed?

Additional active support time is $35 per 30 minutes. No additional time or charge is added without your approval first.
