Printer troubleshooting

“Offline” does not always mean broken.

Windows may lose track of the correct printer, send jobs to the wrong queue, pause printing, use an outdated driver, or fail to reconnect after a network change. These software and connection issues can often be investigated remotely while you handle any physical step at the printer.

If the problem is a paper jam, empty ink or toner, a damaged cable, or a printer hardware failure, we will explain what needs hands-on attention rather than pretending software can solve it.

Printer shows offline

Review Windows status, the selected printer, and the available connection.

Jobs will not print

Inspect stuck, paused, duplicate, or misdirected print-queue jobs.

Printer disappeared

Check Windows detection, common software, and network or USB setup.

Wrong printer selected

Correct default-printer and application printing choices when appropriate.

Email troubleshooting

Find out why messages stopped working.

Email trouble may come from the browser, a Windows mail program, connection settings, a full mailbox, a provider outage, account security, or a message being filtered. We help narrow down where the problem is and address the Windows-side issue when possible.

Email providers control passwords, identity verification, security holds, and account recovery. We cannot bypass those protections, but we can help you reach and understand the legitimate recovery process.

Messages will not send

Review the mail app or browser behavior and any visible error message.

New mail is missing

Check common folders, filtering behavior, sync status, and provider access.

Mail app stopped syncing

Inspect the Windows application, connection, and account configuration.

Browser email trouble

Address common browser, sign-in page, extension, or saved-session problems.

What Basic Support can cover

  • Review the visible error or unexpected behavior
  • Check common Windows printer and queue settings
  • Review appropriate printer software or drivers
  • Inspect email access through a browser or Windows app
  • Help identify whether the issue is on the PC, device, network, or provider side
  • Explain any physical step you need to perform
  • Summarize what was changed and what to do next

Privacy first

Keep passwords and security codes private.

Do not place passwords, financial details, or one-time security codes in the support form or email. When a legitimate account sign-in is necessary, you should enter private credentials yourself whenever possible.

Questions

Printer and email help FAQ

Can a printer problem be fixed remotely?

Many Windows printer problems involving settings, queues, drivers, and network connections can be diagnosed remotely. Physical problems such as paper jams, empty ink, damaged cables, or printer hardware may require you or an in-person technician to handle the device.

Can you recover my email password?

We cannot bypass an email provider's security or reveal a forgotten password. We can help guide you through the provider's legitimate account-recovery process, and you should enter passwords or security codes privately.

What if the email provider itself is down?

We can help identify signs that the problem is with the provider rather than your Windows PC. Provider outages and server-side account restrictions must ultimately be resolved by that provider.

What if the problem takes longer than 30 minutes?

Additional active support time is $35 per 30 minutes. We explain the situation and obtain your approval before adding time or a charge.

What if Basic Support is not the right service?

We diagnose the situation and explain the appropriate option and price before repair work begins. If the computer needs a full tune-up or malware removal, we discuss that change first.
