Privacy policy
How we handle your information.
The Repair Nerds is a small Windows PC support business based in Manheim, Pennsylvania. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you contact us, use remote support, visit this website, or pay for service.
Effective September 19, 2026. This page is informational and may be updated when our practices or tools change.
What we collect
Information you send us, plus ordinary website and payment details.
When you use the website contact form, call, text, or email us, we receive the information you choose to send. That can include your name, phone number, email address, how you prefer we respond, the service you are asking about, and a description of the computer problem.
The website contact form delivers that request to RemoteSupport@therepairnerds.com through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. The form already asks people not to include passwords, financial details, or other sensitive information. Please follow that request in the form, email, and text messages as well.
If we help you by phone, text, or email, we may keep notes from that conversation so we can follow up and finish the work.
During a remote support session, we may see what is on the screen and collect the technical details needed to diagnose and fix the problem—for example, error messages, software names, or settings related to the issue.
This website uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-0CF8TW6FX0) through Google’s gtag.js script. Analytics helps us understand general site use, such as which pages people visit. Google may collect typical website-usage information, such as pages viewed and device or browser details, according to Google’s own practices.
Remote sessions
You approve the connection and stay in control.
Remote support is provided with RustDesk. A session starts only after you approve or authorize the connection. You remain in control of the session and can end it.
We use the session to see the problem and do the approved repair work. We do not use remote access to collect passwords. When a legitimate sign-in is needed, you should enter passwords or security codes yourself whenever possible.
Payments
Card numbers are processed by Square.
Online card payments are processed by Square. Card numbers are handled by Square and are not stored by The Repair Nerds on this website.
We may receive ordinary payment confirmation details from Square that are needed for the job—such as that a payment was made. We do not collect card numbers through the website contact form.
How long we keep it
Ordinary business records and support follow-up.
We keep contact and support records for a reasonable time so we can complete the work, answer follow-up questions, and keep ordinary business records. We do not keep information longer than we have a practical reason to keep it.
Website analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics settings used on this site.
Sharing
We use a few tools to run the business. We do not sell personal information.
We share information only as needed to provide support and operate the website. That includes processors such as Web3Forms for contact-form delivery, Google Analytics for site measurement, and Square for online card payments. If you call, text, or email us, your phone or email provider also carries that message.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect customers or the business from fraud or abuse.
Security
Reasonable measures—and no passwords through the form.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of phone, text, email, or website communication is completely secure.
The website contact form does not collect passwords. Please do not include passwords, one-time security codes, or sensitive financial details in the form, email, or text.
Children
This site is not directed at children.
This website and our support services are intended for adults and for families arranging help for a household computer. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
Updates
This page may change.
This privacy page is informational. We may update it when our practices or tools change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page.
Privacy questions
